Sectional doors are constructed from panels that are hinged together and slide up in tracks. Each panel is connected to the tracks with roller bearings that slide easily and are silent. Track systems can be designed to suit the application, up and over or straight up with the following types available: Low Headroom, Standard Lift, High Lift and Vertical Lift. With these various track layout options sectional doors can be adapted to fit into most architectural designs.
Sandpalm Doors fully manufactures their sandwich type panel, locally constructed of two stipple embossed steel skins filled with rigid high density CFC free polyurethane foam. Double glazed windows and ventilation panels can easily be fitted into this panel construction and the steel skins can be colour coated to suit client requirements. This type of panel construction has extremely good insulation properties.
Sectional doors are aesthetically pleasing, easy to operate and to maintain. Being well balanced, with torsion springs, sectional doors are easily operated by hand, with a chain hoist or compact battery back-up motors.

Single Skin Doors
Sandpalm Doors are also able to supply sectional overhead doors with single skin steel panels with a wood grain embossed finish. Standard colour is off-white and track layout and operation options are the same as for the double steel skin sectional doors. See picture below.
A panoramic Door is a sectional door that can be seen through. The operation and track layouts are the same as for sectional overhead doors but the panel construction is an aluminum frame with either glass or Perspex infill that allows clear sight through it. This type of door construction is widely used for fire stations and car showrooms where a good unobstructed view is needed. The aluminum framing can be either anodised or powder coated to suit a client’s requirements.
